Welcome to my hometown, memories and pictures of
the old country. Calabria is the most southern region
of the Italian peninsula. It extends over a surface
area of 15.080 square kilometres. It borders on
Basilicata to the North, Ionian Sea to the East
and to the South, the Tirrenian Sea to the West
and is unconnected from Sicily by the Messina strait.
It is separated into 5 provinces - Reggio Calabria,
Catanzaro, Cosenza, Vibo Valentia and Crotone. The
Regional Administrative Centre is Reggio Calabria.
